Thumbs up at Houseboat

DSC_0015We do eat out at times but try and keep it simple. A couple of weekends ago, it was the turn of The Houseboat, one of the more classy restaurants in town. Situated in Bahrain’s upmarket Amwaj Islands, a stone’s throw from where we live, the place offers wonderful Indian, Chinese, Continental and Thai cuisine.DSC_0014
We had first tried it out a few months ago when we celebrated Asveen’s senior secondary success. Impressed, we went back and tried something different – and the food came up trumps again!
DSC_0008These are some of the pictures of what we had – mouth watering to say the least. Chicken dumpling soup, mix grill and hot and spicy hamour (fish) was preceded with thick juice cocktails.
The fare is good value for money as well, considering the ambience, location and overall presentation.
