This was prepared by Asveen – rather quickly – after the customary “what’s for dinner” question asked ever so often. This time, however, I threw the ball back in her court with “you make” for an answer!
Though my contribution was only chopping the garlic, I took a look at what was going on.
Take a large bunch of lightly blanched spinach leaves and a bunch of button mushrooms. One large onion and a couple of cloves of garlic are also needed.
Separately, mix around 250 grams of all-purpose flour with around a quarter litre of water, and boil, stirring all the time, taking care not to form any lumps. Five minutes later, and after adding salt, black pepper and a little red chilli powder, the white sauce is ready.
Mix the mushrooms, spinach and the garlic in the white sauce in a large pan and sprinkle mozzarella to cover the top entirely.
Bake for 15 to 20 minutes on high heat or until the mozzarella forms a brown crust.
The dish is then done and the result is amazing!
